What will we be doing?

Starting at 1 pm, we will be having an informal time for everyone to get to know each other and welcome new visitors. 


Then we will transition to opening our Bibles and doing a study on this week's topic or we may have someone in our group share a testimony or something they learned from the Bible or got in answer to prayer. (We love testimonies!)


After the Bible teaching, we have a discussion and answer questions. We wait on the questions because many times, people already get the answer from the Bible or someone's testimony. This let's them know that God is very interested in helping them and that we aren't the focus of the meeting as leaders or the ultimate experts. 


This is an Africa Style meeting- Bring a Bible, chair and a drink if you can. We do have extras. 
Right now, we don't have children's class and we prefer they join in.

Family Matters - Knowing What Jesus Already Gave You

Series Overview: Understanding Your Inheritance in God’s Family Through Christ

Most Christians understand the basics: Jesus died for your sins, you're forgiven, and you're going to heaven when you die. That's wonderful news - in fact, it's the foundation of everything else. But here's what many believers don't realize: that's just the beginning of what Jesus accomplished, not the end.

Your Invitation
Can you imagine going to heaven and because you couldn’t figure it out for yourself and no one explained it to you, Jesus shows you what He suffered for, but you didn’t accept it. 

Many people understand this as far as being forgiven from sin and they stay in close relationship with God. When and if they sin, they go to God, ask for forgiveness and change their ways. 

If you ask them later if they are forgiven, they understand this free gift from God, they have faith that God won’t take it back or change His mind. They use this to move forward in life and continue in their Christian practice. 

Maybe you don’t know much about this, but even if you do, let’s go over it in detail and be thankful and expert in our practice of it. 

Starting with What You Already Know: The Foundation of Forgiveness, then we will move into the Bounty of the Rest of the Inheritance and Our Legal Contract with God

When someone leaves you an inheritance, they don't just give you the front door key and say "Good luck figuring out the rest." They leave you the entire estate - the house, the land, the bank accounts, the investments, the family privileges, and all the legal rights that come with it.

The Biblical Foundation: "Forget Not ALL His Benefits"

The Bible actually gives us a complete inventory of what belongs to us. In Psalm 103:2-3, David writes:

"Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits - who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases."

Notice the structure here:

  • "Forget not ALL his benefits" - There are multiple benefits, not just one
  • "Forgives ALL your sins" - Complete spiritual restoration
  • "Heals ALL your diseases" - Complete physical restoration

Jesus didn't just handle your sin problem. He handled your ENTIRE human condition.

When Jesus said "It is finished" on the cross, He wasn't just talking about sin. He was declaring that He had completely reversed everything that went wrong when mankind fell.

  • Starting with what you already know: forgiveness and eternal life
  • "Forget not ALL His benefits" - discovering the complete package
  • Understanding what Jesus actually accomplished (the total redemption)
  • Your new legal standing as God's child with full family privileges
  • Why most Christians live in partial inheritance

"Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever!" (Ephesians 3:20-21)

It's time to discover what that really means.

Prayer Time:

While we are at the US and Canada border each time, we pray for the leaders of both Nations, the people living there, any urgent situations Internationally and any specific situations we want to agree on. 

If you are attending the meeting, we are always ready to pray for you to get healed, give your life to Jesus or get help from God for any situations. 

Due to being older and having God help us with a very long list of difficult, heartbreaking and 'impossible' situations, we have enough faith to assist most situations with high confidence.
We also pray for other churches, evangelistic meetings and any prayer requests from ministry partners or people who have asked for group prayer. 
Prayer changes things!
